{"id":6727,"date":"2014-02-24T18:03:02","date_gmt":"2014-02-24T17:03:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.e-sort.net\/blog\/?p=6727"},"modified":"2023-12-21T10:41:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-21T09:41:00","slug":"broadwell-quinta-generacion-de-procesadores-intel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.e-sort.net\/blog\/broadwell-quinta-generacion-de-procesadores-intel\/","title":{"rendered":"Broadwell quinta generaci\u00f3n de procesadores Intel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-sort.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/intel.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-4201\" src=\"https:\/\/www.e-sort.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/intel-300x197.png\" alt=\"intel\" width=\"137\" height=\"90\" \/><\/a><a title=\"Broadwell\" href=\"http:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Broadwell_%28microarquitectura%29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Broadwell\u00a0<\/a><\/strong> ha sido desarrollada por Intel como sucesora de la cuarta generaci\u00f3n <strong>Haswell<\/strong>.\u00a0 Entre julio y septiembre del <strong>2014<\/strong> estar\u00e1n <strong>disponibles las versiones para Ultrabooks y tablets<\/strong>, mientras que para los equipos de escritorio hay que esperar a principios de 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Aparte de las mejoras orientadas a incrementar su eficiencia energ\u00e9tica, <strong>la gran novedad<\/strong>, lo que les est\u00e1 provocando continuos retrasos y quebraderos de cabeza, es el nuevo proceso de manufactura a <strong>14nm<\/strong> (tama\u00f1o de los transistores). <strong>A menor tama\u00f1o de los transistores, m\u00e1s eficiente y peque\u00f1o es el procesador<\/strong>, pero la precisi\u00f3n que se requiere complejiza mucho la tarea de fabricaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Este detalle es crucial en el mercado, adem\u00e1s de un salto tecnol\u00f3gico impresionante, para hacernos una idea <strong>TSMC<\/strong> (procesadores <strong>ARM<\/strong>) y <strong>Global Foundries<\/strong> (que monta los procesadores de iPhone, iPod y iPad) trabajan a <strong>28nm<\/strong>, los nuevos procesadores para m\u00f3viles se desarrollan bajo ese proceso pero\u2026 \u00bfBajar a 14nm? es algo que s\u00f3lo Intel puede ofrecer.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_6728\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6728\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-sort.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/article_img.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6728\" title=\"chip Broadwell\" src=\"https:\/\/www.e-sort.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/article_img.jpg\" alt=\"chip Broadwell\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6728\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Brian Krzanich presidente ejecutivo de Intel, presentando el diminuto chip Quark de 14nm.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">No hay duda que en cuanto a ingresos,<strong> la supremac\u00eda de Intel en este sector es indudable<\/strong>, pero <strong>pierde parte del pastel a favor de Samsung y ARM<\/strong> en chips para<strong> tablets y smartphones de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Mientras que la clara ventaja de Intel en el mundo PC, se ha visto contrarrestada por el declive de este segmento a favor de Ultrabooks y tablets. Por lo que es totalmente l\u00f3gico que Intel prepare est\u00e1 quinta generaci\u00f3n para competir en este sector.<\/p>\n<p>El tama\u00f1o de <strong>un procesador a 14nm es la mitad que el m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o de TSMC de 20nm<\/strong>. Los ARM de momento no pueden pasar de 22nm, esto significa que Intel tiene una ventaja f\u00e1cil de un a\u00f1o por encima de Samsung, TSMC y Global Foundries.<\/p>\n<p>Intel es un tanque dif\u00edcil de detener, muchos creen que no supo adaptarse a la realidad, que se centr\u00f3 equivocadamente en PCs\u00a0 y en n\u00facleos y potencia (la meta de Broadwell es llegar a los <strong>18 n\u00facleos f\u00edsicos<\/strong>\u00a0 en versiones PC), pero con esta generaci\u00f3n Intel repara errores del pasado y de momento es la \u00fanica que puede ofrecer tama\u00f1os tan peque\u00f1os de procesadores a <strong>64 Bits<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">\u00a0\u00bfHar\u00e1 peligrar a ARM, su principal competidor en este sector?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Broadwell\u00a0 ha sido desarrollada por Intel como sucesora de la cuarta generaci\u00f3n Haswell.\u00a0 Entre julio y septiembre del 2014 estar\u00e1n disponibles las versiones para Ultrabooks y tablets, mientras que para los equipos de escritorio hay que esperar a principios de 2015.
